Biography
Susana’s unique sultry voice reverberates with a New Orleans vibe which influences the songs she selects to performs with her “Easy Living Band”.
Susana Butler is a vocalist living and working in the Atlanta Metro area.
As a child growing up in Minnesota, she loved to listen to recordings of the Big Band and Jazz music that her parents often played on the big console record player in the living room.
A love for blues was seeded through listening to the music an older brother brought home from college in the 60’s. Later a love for Dixieland and all the diverse music of New Orleans bloomed after a first visit to New Orleans as a college student herself.
That one visit had a big effect, as Susana often imagined what it would be like to live there. Getting her chance after falling in love with a man from New Orleans, they moved there and lived happily for many years soaking up the musical culture that exists only in New Orleans.
Susana has a diverse repertoire that includes Jazz Standards, Blues, Latin Jazz, New Orleans funk and Soul.
